RIC: No long lines during partial government shutdown

HENRICO, Va. (WWBT) – Suitcases roll through Richmond International Airport as people head out to their spring break destinations or return home.

On Tuesday morning, Antonia Post touched down at Richmond International Airport after a quick trip to New York and had a smooth experience.

“I got there early and to my surprise, there was not that many people in front,” she said. “Maybe 40 people in front of me. Went through easily, everything was great.”

However, this is not the case everywhere as several major airports across the country see long lines in their main terminals amid TSA staffing shortages due to the partial government shutdown…
