Rochester Police make arrest in deadly Bay Street hit and run

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — Rochester Police have made an arrest in a February hit-and-run that killed a 63-year-old city man.

On February 6, around 8 p.m., Frederick Edwards was leaving a store and crossing Bay Street when he was hit by a car. The driver of the car sped away. Edwards later died at Strong Memorial Hospital.

The vehicle, an older-model Toyota Corolla, was traced to a local recycler, where it had been left for scrapping.
