Rochester, N.Y. — A man faces charges after police said he robbed someone who was trying to complete a vehicle purchase agreed to on Facebook Marketplace.
Officers responded to Green Knolls Drive around 10 a.m. Feb. 25 for a report of a robbery. Police said the victim told them he had made arrangements to buy the vehicle for approximately $3,200. They agreed to meet on Green Knolls Drive.
The victim told police the suspect threatened him during the meeting with what appeared to be a handgun and stole cash from him before fleeing in the vehicle that was supposed to be sold.
