Former senior living administrator pleads guilty to stealing $221,000 from employer, 40+ residents

A former senior living community administrator pleaded guilty to a scheme to steal almost $221,000 from her employer and more than 40 residents who lived there, for personal use.

The Massachusetts Attorney General’s Office announced last week that Luzia Wade pleaded guilty in Worcester Superior Court to charges stemming from the theft of $220,948 from the Donna Kay Rest Home in Worcester and its residents.

She was sentenced to two-and-a-half years in prison, which was suspended for five years, and ordered to pay full restitution. She also was ordered to have no contact with the personal care and memory care community and its residents, and to refrain from working with older adults or in healthcare in the future…
