DES MOINES, Iowa (WHO) — A dream vacation turned into a worst nightmare. An Urbandale woman has been stuck in Doha, Qatar, for over a week after flights were grounded due to airstrikes in the area.
Jennifer Julich was solo-travelling in Sri Lanka and was on her way home when she landed in Doha for an extended layover on Friday, Feb. 27. At noon on that Saturday, the Qatar government sent a notification to all phones that the U.S. and Israel were attacking Iran. Shortly after, she heard the loud booms.
