Lafayette High School senior Lincoln Trumps has been named one of eight state finalists for the 2026 Louisiana Student of the Year.
Through the Louisiana Department of Education, Trumps is one of just eight 12th grade students across the state selected as finalists for demonstrating leadership, character and academic success.
Trumps is a senior at Lafayette High School, who serves as secretary general of Louisiana’s Model United Nations through the YMCA and helped advocate for federal funding for the organization in Washington, D.C.
