Anchorage man sentenced to 13 years for trafficking fentanyl and meth

An Anchorage man has been sentenced to over 13 years in federal prison for conspiring to traffic fentanyl, methamphetamine, and heroin in Alaska.

Richard Frye, 37, was part of a multi-person drug trafficking organization allegedly run by an inmate in California. Authorities say he coordinated multiple drug shipments to communities across Alaska, including attempts to smuggle controlled substances into correctional facilities.

Court documents show that law enforcement seized thousands of fentanyl pills, methamphetamine, and suboxone strips connected to Frye and co-conspirators, Tiffani Couch and Anna Petla. Frye also tried to distribute drugs while in custody and communicated with the alleged leader of the trafficking organization after being released on bail…
