HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) – City emergency officials are urging preparation and vigilance as a powerful storm approaches the islands.
“Our message to the public today is simple: take this storm seriously and prepare now,” said Honolulu Mayor Rick Blangiardi, who spoke at a press conference alongside other city officials to address the incoming severe weather.
“City departments and our first responder agencies have been preparing for several days,” he continued. “Crews are out across the island right now clearing storm drains, inspecting infrastructure, staging equipment, and coordinating closely with our partners at the state and federal levels.”…
