Man found guilty of immigration violation, possessing 70+ pounds of cocaine in Charlotte

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WBTV) – A Mexican national was sentenced to more than a decade in prison after being found guilty of having more than 70 pounds of cocaine.

Raul Bello Rojas was sentenced to a little over 11 years in prison and five years of supervised release after pleading guilty to possession with intent to distribute five or more kilograms of a mixture of cocaine. He also pleaded guilty to illegal reentry of a deported convicted felon.

Rojas sold cocaine to an undercover officer on at least three occasions between December 2024 and January 2025, according to court documents…
