One year ago, Gannon University, AHN Saint Vincent and First Ascent Biomedical announced a $6.5 million project to build two medical labs in the school’s I-Hack building on West 9th Street.
One year later, the organizations are meeting again to detail their progress and discuss what’s yet to come, marking a transition from planning and design to full construction.
“The vision is state-of-the-art labs, workforce development, fighting cancer, student learning, and research all under one roof,” said Dr. Walter Iwanenko, President of Gannon University. “When this project scales up, it will create about 100 jobs, creating opportunities for people to work and live in Erie.”…
