Downtown Greensboro officials work to prevent noise pollution: ‘Taking some steps to push back’

GREENSBORO, N.C. (WGHP) — Loud music and revving engines can often drown out the experience of downtown Greensboro, so much so that Downtown Greensboro Inc. says it’s a top complaint of businesses.

“We get it. We definitely see it as the problem and issue that it is, and we are taking some steps to push back,” Downtown Greensboro Inc. Vice President Rob Overman said.

Concerns raised over possible housing rezoning in Gibsonville

DGI is an advocate for business and says they are looking into noise monitoring machines, are leaning on the Greensboro Police Department for noise ordinance enforcement and have plans for an event that should redirect the issues.
