Grand Rapids seeks public input on Southside Creekways trail expansion

The city’s Parks and Recreation department is reimagining the Silver Creek and Plaster Creek corridors as a connected trail and greenway system enhancing recreation, mobility, and quality of life for residents and businesses across southeast Grand Rapids.

Project planning began last year, but the idea for connecting parts of the city’s southeast side goes back a decade. While the Plaster Creek Trail is in place, there are significant gaps in the trail system. No trail currently exists along the Silver Creek corridor…
