New middle school coming to Anderson after voters said ‘yes’ to bond

Anderson County residents will get a new middle school after voters supported a multi-million-dollar bond.

On March 10, 926 Anderson County voters approved the school district’s plans for the new Crescent Middle School; 845 voted against it, for a 20.91% voter turnout among eligible voters.

The new school, located next to the current Crescent High, will replace the nearly 73-year-old Starr-Iva Middle School, built in 1953.
