Hampton man charged after reckless driving incident involving fireworks in Richmond

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — A Hampton man is facing charges after a reckless driving incident took over several streets in Richmond over the weekend.

During the night on Saturday, March 7, into the early morning of Sunday, March 8, officers with the Richmond Police Department responded to multiple calls of vehicles driving recklessly throughout the city.

Upon arrival, police said they found a large group of drivers operating their cars in a dangerous manner on Forest Hill Avenue, Midlothian Turnpike, German School Road and Libbie and Patterson avenues, among other areas in Richmond.

Police said they received reports of possible random gunfire, though there was no evidence of shots being fired after they investigated…
