Record heat Wednesday, cold front arrives Thursday

TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — After another very warm day across Tampa Bay, a few changes are starting to show up in the forecast. We’ll keep the chance for some low clouds and patchy fog late at night and early in the morning over the next couple of days, especially before sunrise.

Rain chances return Thursday as a cold front moves in from the northwest. Showers and a few thunderstorms will likely begin early in the day to the north, then spread south through the Tampa Bay area during the afternoon before tapering off toward evening. A few leftover showers may linger Thursday night.

Friday does not look like a washout, but we can’t rule out a few isolated to scattered showers, and possibly a thunderstorm, especially farther south and inland where moisture will be a…..
