HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, Fla. – A 15-year-old student is in custody after a firearm fell out of his pants during a physical altercation at Strawberry Crest High School in Dover on Monday afternoon. The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office arrested Eddy Martinez Pedro on March 9, 2026, following a brief foot pursuit that began on school grounds and ended in a nearby Dover neighborhood.
The incident unfolded at approximately 1:01 p.m. when school administrators intervened to break up a fight between two students. According to investigators, as a school official took hold of Martinez Pedro’s backpack, the teenager turned and ran.
