Newark Nite, the beloved street festival that for 32 years served as the unofficial kickoff to summer in Newark, will return this June after an eight-year hiatus.
“It just brings a sense of nostalgia to the community,” Parks and Recreation Director Paula Ennis said. “It was a great event. People really enjoyed it.”
