Montgomery County police say a traffic stop in Montgomery Village on Monday, March 9, 2026, led to the arrests of two men on multiple drug and handgun-related charges.
Police identified the men as 78-year-old James Curtis Avant of Bowie and 29-year-old D’Andre Michael Wiggins of Germantown.
According to MCPD, 6th District Community Action Team officers were conducting proactive enforcement around 7 pm near Lost Knife Circle when they saw what they described as suspicious activity involving a vehicle parked near a laundromat.
