Mass. weather: How much snow to expect on Thursday

Just days after setting records for high temperatures, Massachusetts is set for snow on Thursday.

A cold front moved into the region overnight, and temperatures will continue to drop through Thursday morning and into the afternoon, falling to the mid 30s in most areas by mid-afternoon.

Scattered rainfall will continue through the morning, turning to snow once temperatures are sufficiently low. In the Berkshires, the changeover to snow could begin as early as 8 a.m., according to the National Weather Service, and continue to fall until 6 p.m. Springfield and Worcester could see snow around 2 p.m. to 8 p.m., while Boston’s window is 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Cape Cod & the Islands could see snow from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m…
