Everman High Lockdown Drama As Student Cuffed After Gun Tip

An Everman High School student was taken into custody yesterday after a classmate reported the student had a firearm on campus, triggering a lockdown and a significant law-enforcement response. Administrators moved quickly to secure the campus, and no injuries were reported. Police said officers recovered a handgun during the search while students remained under emergency safety procedures, and officers worked to identify and locate the suspected juvenile.

In a release shared via Everman Emergency Services, the Everman Police Department said officers quickly identified and located the suspected student, confirmed as an Everman student and a juvenile, and took the student into custody without incident.
