Katy Responds is raising funds to help Ms. Rodriguez, a Hurricane Harvey survivor, return to her home in Katy, Texas. Her house was left unlivable after a contractor took the repair funds and disappeared. Since then, she has been staying with her son while waiting for repairs.
The organization plans to restore the kitchen, bathroom, and one bedroom, with a total project cost of $13,400. To cover additional materials and unforeseen expenses, they aim to raise $16,080.
