A house fire in Metairie early Tuesday morning caused significant damage to a home but fortunately left all residents safe. Firefighters responded quickly to the scene and worked to bring the blaze under control before it could spread further through the structure.
Two-Alarm Fire Breaks Out at Metairie Home
According to officials in Jefferson Parish, firefighters were called to a home in the 4500 block of Transcontinental Drive around 4:02 a.m. Tuesday.
The first fire unit arrived just four minutes after the call was received.
Once firefighters reached the scene and assessed the situation, they quickly requested a second alarm to bring additional crews and equipment to help fight the fire.
