Police ID Newton man killed in south Wichita crash

WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) — Wichita police say a Newton man is dead after he was struck by a car in south Wichita on Wednesday night.

Shortly before 10 p.m., police were called to a crash at Lincoln and Topeka streets.

When they arrived, they found a car that had crashed into a parked vehicle and a man lying in the street. Tyrone Carter, 55, was pronounced dead at the scene.
