Reno-Tahoe International Airport Begins Construction on Two New Concourse

RENO, Nevada – In early March, elected officials and community leaders joined airline partners and construction teams to officially break ground on two new concourses at Reno-Tahoe International Airport.

The $650 million project will modernize and double the size of the airport’s existing concourses. The project was designed by McCarthy Building Companies and Gensler. Construction will proceed in phases, but both new concourses should be complete by late 2029.

The new concourses will include expansive views of the Sierra Nevada and a modern mountain design, along with updated travel technology, improved signage, enhancements to concessions, restrooms and other amenities – and dual taxi lanes between the concourses to accelerate aircraft turnaround times.
