Eugene bust targets suspected fentanyl dealer; loaded guns seized

EUGENE, Ore. — A Eugene Police Department Street Crimes Unit investigation has led to one arrest and the seizure of drugs and guns, the department said Thursday.

During an ongoing narcotics investigation, the EPD’s Street Crimes Unit observed a meeting between 34-year-old Eugene resident Reilly Quinn Slater and 28-year-old Salem resident Danitza Guadalupe Morales. Based on the investigation, it was believed Slater was a local fentanyl dealer. SCU officers allowed the meeting to conclude and stopped Morales and Slater at separate locations.

Morales was in possession of eight individual packages of fentanyl totaling approximately 5.2 ounces and approximately $4,900. Slater was in possession of five individual packages containing approximately 4.5 ounces of fentanyl, more than $300 in cash, scales, and drug packaging.
