LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — Despite the disbelief, North Las Vegas construction workers are assembling the new neighborhood for the residents in the sinking community of Windsor Park—decades of promises appearing to be fulfilled.
This month, neighbors noticed construction work begin around the 20-acre lot for 93 new homes set for Windsor Park residents, a $37 million project. Windsor Park, located in North Las Vegas, was built in the 1960s. Over the years, the neighborhood’s homes, roads, and utility lines began to sink due to groundwater being pumped from a nearby aquifer.
