ANCHORAGE, Alaska (KTUU) – Parking at Ted Steven’s International Airport has become a challenge in recent days, with some airport visitors saying they spent hours searching for a spot.
On Tuesday, the airport put out a social media post saying that all parking was full. This includes the parking garage, long-term lot, Park, Ride & Fly, the North Terminal Parking Lot, and the Cell Phone Lot. Travelers were urged plan ahead, park at nearby private options, or use alternate transportation.
Throughout this winter, parking has been tight, due in part to the need for snow storage. Some commuters have pointed out that Turo car rentals are taking space, though airport staff previously said the Turos don’t typically spend much time in airport parking spaces…
