HONOLULU (Island News) — Honolulu police arrested a suspect who escaped police custody in Kailua on Wednesday.
The Honolulu Police Department (HPD) initiated a search for 30-year-old Kaleipilialohamaikalani Zuttermeister who escaped police custody at 5:48 p.m. on Wednesday, March 11, 2026. Police said the arrestee escaped while at Adventist Health Castle Medical Center on Ulukahi Street in Kailua.
HPD officers arrested the suspect for first-degree unauthorized control of a propelled vehicle. He was being taken to the hospital for medical clearance before getting transferred to the cellblock receiving desk…
