Coroner identifies 29-year-old man killed in Mount Vernon Ave motorcycle crash

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — The coroner’s office has identified a motorcyclist who was killed in a crash Sunday in south Bakersfield.

Coroner’s officials identified the motorcyclist as Paul Anthony De Leon Jr., 29, of Bakersfield.

De Leon was pronounced dead at Mount Vernon Avenue and East Planz Road on March 8.

Officials said De Leon was traveling southbound on Mount Vernon Avenue at around 8:25 a.m. when he lost control of his motorcycle at a curve in the road at East Planz Road and crashed through a gate. He died of his injuries at the scene…
