MARCH 12 POLICE BLOTTER: Burglaries reported in Middle River; Rosedale robbery leads to arrest

NOTTINGHAM, MD—Local authorities are investigating a string of burglaries and a robbery that occurred across the county over the past week, spanning from Upper Falls to Middle River. While most suspects remain at large, Baltimore County Police have successfully apprehended one individual in connection with an attempted robbery in Rosedale.

Rosedale Robbery Leads to Arrest

The most confrontation-heavy incident occurred on the evening of March 2. Around 7:40 p.m., a juvenile suspect attempted to rob a victim of their property in the 8600 block of Philadelphia Road. Fortunately, the victim’s property was not lost, and police confirmed that the suspect was taken into custody shortly after the encounter.

Middle River Targeted in Multiple Incidents

The Middle River area (ZIP code 21220) saw the highest volume of activity, with three separate incidents reported in just six days:

  • March 1: An attempted second-degree burglary was reported at the 1400 block of Martin Boulevard at 9:23 p.m. The suspect was unable to gain entry.
  • March 3: Thieves were more successful in the 1300 block of Innovation Street. At approximately 6:00 p.m., unknown suspects burglarized a location and made off with stolen property.
  • March 7: Most recently, a first-degree burglary occurred in the 400 block of Holloway Street. Around 9:25 p.m., multiple unknown suspects entered the premises and stole property before fleeing.

Early Burglary in Upper Falls

The week of criminal activity began late last month on February 28. At approximately 8:30 p.m., a residence in the 11000 block of Franklinville Road in Upper Falls was hit by a first-degree burglary. Personal property was reported stolen, and investigators are still working to identify those responsible.
