American is set to expand service to and from Augusta Regional Airport in Georgia next month for the Masters Tournament.
The carrier said Monday that it will increase flights on existing routes to Augusta and temporarily add connections to new markets to accommodate fans. The special flights will operate between April 5 and 13, before and after the tournament, which runs from April 9 to 12.
The new and expanded routes to and from Augusta are:
- Austin, Texas: Round-trip service on April 10, one flight from Austin on April 5, and one flight to Austin on April 13
- Boston: Round-trip service on April 5, 8, 10, 12, 13
- Charlotte, North Carolina: Up to six round-trip flights per day on larger aircraft
- Chicago O’Hare: Up to two round-trip flights per day
- Dallas/Fort Worth: Up to six round-trip flights per day on larger aircraft
- Miami: Daily round-trip service
- New York-LaGuardia: Up to two round-trip flights per day
- Philadelphia: Up to two round-trip flights per day
- Phoenix: Round-trip service on April 8 and 10, one flight from Phoenix on April 5, and one flight to Phoenix on April 13
- Reagan National: Up to three round-trip flights per day
American said it will be the only airline offering nonstop service to Augusta from Charlotte, Dallas/Fort Worth, Miami, Chicago, Philadelphia, and Phoenix…
