Las Vegas, NV – In a stunning turn of events that had the NFL buzzing, five-time Pro Bowl edge rusher Maxx Crosby, after appearing destined for the Baltimore Ravens, will remain a Las Vegas Raider. The trade discussions stemmed from reported discontent between Crosby and the Raiders, particularly regarding the team’s handling of his knee injury at the end of last season. Crosby was reportedly upset when the Raiders sidelined him for the final two games of the campaign ahead of a meniscus trim, feeling he was prohibited from finishing the year before the procedure.
While the Raiders had not definitively indicated a desire to move their defensive stalwart prior to the Ravens agreement, the failed deal now presents an opportunity for reconciliation. With the trade off the table, the Raiders may be inclined to retain Crosby and work to mend any lingering issues in their relationship with the two-time All-Pro.
