Catoosa County father told deputy ‘I shot her’ after daughter found in Rossville camper

ROSSVILLE, Ga. — A Catoosa County father accused of shooting his daughter told a deputy at the scene, “I shot her,” according to a police narrative our newsroom obtained on Thursday.

Deputies responded Sunday afternoon to a camper at Holiday Travel Park on Mack Smith Road after a 911 call reporting someone had been shot.

When Deputy Austin Enloe arrived, he found 75-year-old William Woodall outside the residence and a woman inside the camper suffering from a gunshot wound to the head.

The victim, identified earlier this week as 53-year-old Carrie Ann Woodall, was still breathing and had a pulse when deputies arrived. A neighbor was inside the camper rendering aid.
