Evansville police say a narcotics investigation led to multiple arrests after officers recovered firearms and suspected drugs, including fentanyl and methamphetamine.
According to the Evansville Police Department, detectives with the Evansville Vanderburgh County Joint Task Force conducted the investigation on March 10 near Madison Avenue and Southeast Second Street.
Evansville Narcotics Investigation Leads To Arrests
During the investigation, detectives attempted to stop a vehicle in the area. Police say the driver fled, but the vehicle was later located nearby.

Investigators say two people, identified as 31-year-old Chelsea M. Brown and 28-year-old Robert J. Harwell, were seen running from the area on foot. Officers detained both individuals while additional officers located the driver, identified as 52-year-old William C. Hamer.
Police Recover Guns Drugs And Ammunition
Detectives say they found several weapons and suspected drugs inside the vehicle, including an AR-15 rifle and more than 200 rounds of ammunition.
Police also reported finding approximately 3 grams of suspected fentanyl, more than 30 grams of methamphetamine, suspected marijuana, and Alprazolam and Gabapentin pills…
