A driver who crossed over into an opposing lane of traffic caused a head-on crash Wednesday night in Lebanon County that killed him and the 19-year-driver of the other car, police said.
Police on Thursday said Cole David Steffy, 47, of Mansfield, was driving a 2016 Audi Q3 northbound when he went into the southbound lane and hit a Jeep Grand Cherokee driven by Rilee Caileb Knable, of Palmyra. Police did not say why Steffy left the northbound lane.
Both drivers were declared dead at the scene after the 10:10 p.m. crash in the 3100 block of State Drive in Lebanon. The paved two-laned road in that area is straight with metal guardrails on both sides. The area is mostly farmland with some warehouses nearby…
