NY couple faces identity theft charges after Swatara Twp. traffic stop

A New York couple have both been charged with multiple counts of identity theft and forgery after being pulled over for a traffic stop in Swatara Township, according to Pennsylvania State Police.

On March 5, troopers were monitoring westbound traffic on I-78 when they spotted a gray Jeep Grand Cherokee traveling westbound. Upon running a check on the registration, trooper said in their report, the registration appeared to be a “dead tag” and did not exist.
