Southern Indiana police arrest alleged meth dealer known as ‘The Professor’

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — Police in southern Indiana arrested a former college dean, nicknamed “The Professor,” who they’d been targeting for years on suspicion as a local drug dealer.

In a news release Thursday, the Clarksville Police Department said officers arrested Alan White, 59, after conducting a search warrant March 7 at his home on Scenic Drive. When officers arrived, they saw White driving away from the home. Officers caught up with him and made a traffic stop just after 9:30 p.m. White was arrested without incident, according to his probable cause affidavit.

Inside his home, officers found two plastic bags with a “crystal like substance” they identified as methamphetamine. One bag was in his bedroom inside a box of cigarettes, police said. The other was found in a separate room, hidden in the ceiling tiles along with some counterfeit bills…
