Plans for the first full-service Publix grocery in downtown West Palm Beach call for a large store with an urban design and wide-ranging services, including a two-story building with covered parking, a pharmacy and a liquor store.
Development plans submitted to the city show the 51-foot-tall building and a surface parking lot would occupy the entire 600 block of Banyan Street, one block from the city’s main Clematis Street strip.
The store’s primary shopping area would be on the second floor and would feature full produce and bakery departments, a deli island and a pharmacy…
