AVONDALE — A man accused of harassing and throwing liquid on children leaving a Mexican folk dance studio last week has been arrested and charged with five misdemeanor counts of battery, according to police.
Robert Villanueva, 50, who lives near the Ballet Folklorico de Chicago studio at 3006 N. Pulaski Road at the Avondale and Belmont Cragin border, was charged Tuesday, police said. He is set to appear in court April 9.
About 10 p.m. Friday, dance students and their families were leaving Ballet Folklorico when two residents of a neighboring apartment building harassed them in an incident recorded on video.
