Jury finds Des Moines officer justified in 2019 shooting

DES MOINES, Iowa (KCCI) – A Polk County jury found that a Des Moines police officer was legally justified in shooting a man in 2019 during a confrontation at a homeless camp, KCCI reports.

The civil case regards Des Moines Police Officer Trudy Paulson, one of the officers who responded to a complaint at an encampment near Raccoon River.
