Soldier shot at New Orleans barracks in stable condition, National Guard says

NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) – A National Guardsman accidentally shot at Jackson Barracks in New Orleans on Tuesday night is in stable condition and remains hospitalized, spokesperson Lt. Col. Noel Collins said Wednesday.

Collins said the New Orleans Police Department is investigating, including whether any charges will be filed. She did not confirm additional details of the shooting.
