WHEATON, Ill. (WGN) — A man in Woodridge is accused of stealing alcohol and then dragging a police officer with his vehicle while trying to escape.
Police say 36-year-old DeAndrae Walker faces charges of burglary, retail theft, aggravated battery, resisting arrest, and other felony counts, in addition to several misdemeanors. He will remain behind bars following the Tuesday, March 10 incident.

Prosecutors say Walker stole 18 bottles of vodka worth more than $600 from a Woodridge-area Target store. Detectives on scene allegedly saw Walker placing the bottles inside a black SUV.
