Charges: Minneapolis man stole three-legged dog from woman he met on dating app

A Minneapolis man is facing multiple charges that allege he stalked a woman he met on a dating app and stole her three-legged dog.

Akhil Miryala, 27, is charged with burglary and stalking in connection to the incident, which are both felonies. His first court appearance was set for Thursday afternoon.

Criminal charges allege Miryala met a woman on a dating app in February, and they went on two dates. After the second date, the woman told Miryala she did not wish to pursue a relationship, but he kept trying to contact her on social media and via text messages and phone calls.
