WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) — A Washington State native made Kansas his forever home after being stationed at McConnell Air Force Base.
Patrick McGuire joined the Air Force in 1966, and although he dreamed of traveling overseas, Uncle Sam had other plans.
“I wanted to sit back and see the world, and I didn’t see very much of it,” McGuire said. “But it’s just like any other branch of the service, you know, the cook is just as important as the general.”
