Texas man arrested in Idaho after alleged multi-state credit card scheme

NAMPA, Idaho — A Texas man was arrested by police on Tuesday for allegedly committing fraud across the Treasure Valley and in multiple states.

Jiaxing Guan, 32, of Houston, Texas, was arrested in Caldwell by the Nampa Police Department with assistance from the Caldwell Police Department, according to a news release. Guan is facing charges of burglary, forgery, and criminal possession of a bank card.

Police on social media said the arrest follows reports of fraudulent activity at a local grocery store, where Guan allegedly used stolen credit card information to purchase hundreds of dollars in gift cards, along with an Easter basket. Police said the Easter basket does not appear to have any significance to the alleged crimes and was “likely an impulse purchase.”…
