Flooding closes multiple roads in western Washington County

After a day of heavy rain, western Washington County is experiencing multiple road closures due to flooding as of Thursday, March 12, according to the county’s road closure and traffic advisory site.

In Gaston, both Bates Road between Old Highway 47 and Patton Valley Road and Gaston Road between Main Street and Spring Hill Road remain closed because of flooding as of 4 p.m.

Rock Creek Boulevard near Hillsboro also experienced an emergency road closure between Chemult Place and Rock Creek Drive.
