High winds snap trees, down power lines all over the Inland NW

SPOKANE, Wash – High winds overnight and early Thursday morning snapped trees and knocked out power throughout the Inland Northwest.

The winds picked up Wednesday evening as a high wind warning went into effect.

The highest winds were in the early morning hours, with the National Weather Service reporting gusts of 68 miles per hour at the Spokane International Airport and 66 at Felts Field…
