The Sculpture Movement in Tucson

In Tucson, art does not stay confined to gallery walls. It rises from the desert floor, frames the Santa Catalinas, and transforms everyday spaces into places of reflection and conversation. Over the past decade, a quiet but powerful shift has taken place. A true sculpture movement rooted in community, landscape, and accessibility.

At the center of that movement is Sculpture Tucson.

Founded in 2016 by artists Barbara Grygutis, Jeff Timan, and Steve Kimble, the nonprofit began with a bold vision to create a hub for three-dimensional art in the Southwest and make sculpture part of daily life in Southern Arizona.
