Fast-Moving Snowstorm Could Bring Up to 12 Inches Across Parts of Eastern New York

Albany, New York – Drivers across eastern New York could face hazardous travel conditions beginning Friday as a fast-moving clipper system spreads snow across the region, with some areas expected to see significant snowfall totals by Saturday afternoon.

Meteorologists say the heaviest snow will likely impact the Adirondacks and nearby mountain regions, while lighter but still disruptive snowfall could reach the Capital Region.

According to the National Weather Service in Albany, Winter Storm Warnings and Winter Weather Advisories are in effect starting around midday Friday and lasting through Saturday afternoon
