What started as a string of missing wallets and car keys at Santa Clarita gyms has ended with a 39-year-old woman in custody in Bakersfield, after detectives say they tied her to a months-long locker theft spree that stretched across the Santa Clarita Valley.
Deputies allege the woman quietly raided gym lockers from July 2025 through February 2026, swiping wallets, purses, and vehicle keys, then using those keys and credit cards to drive off in victims’ cars and rack up unauthorized purchases. Authorities say she is being held without bail.
According to a post from the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station, detectives with the station’s Crime Impact Team, working with other units, spent months tracking the pattern of locker burglaries before locating the suspect in Bakersfield. The post states she now faces multiple felony counts, including burglary, auto theft, and identity theft, and that she has 11 outstanding warrants spanning three counties.
